China reaffirms support for 6-party talks on N. Korea

The Washington Times reports that China reaffirms six-party talks. //JW Desknote: I do not know what Kerry is thinking that uni-lateral approach to North Korea will work. Why? Because it hasn't in the past. Status quo, to include the Jimmy Carter initiatives, is for North Korea to thump its chest, and threaten the region while the U.S. responds with more food in hopes of quieting the monster. The problem is that this approach does nothing to resolve issue; nor does it provide progress toward peace on the peninsula which is in U.S. interest as well as China, Japan, South Korea, and Russia.
