A Maryland soldier has been killed in Iraq.
The Pentagon has announced that 25-year-old Sergeant Maurice Fortune of Forestville died Friday in Ar Ramadi, when a car bomb blew up near his vehicle.
Fortune was assigned to the Army's Second Battalion, 17th Field Artillery, Second Brigade Combat Team, based in Camp Hovey, Korea.
