Thousands of voters may get their voices heard in two battleground states this year.
The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports some 27 thousand people are registered both in Ohio and Florida. Analysts and polls state those are among the tightest races this election. The paper says virtually nothing prevents transitory voters from casting ballots in multiple states. Federal voting laws require states to compile state-wide voter registration lists. But states rarely coordinate with each other to find double registrations. The paper says records show some voters registered in both Florida and Ohio in the same month.
