Big government, far from over

James P. Pinkerton in Newsday.com says that "With two wars, ballooning Medicare costs and a $2.57 trillion budget, George W. Bush reverses course from Bill Clinton's rhetoric..." I agree, and I ask again, if the Republicans won't cut the size of the Federal government, then who will? What did happen to the idea of cutting the Dept of Education? And I ask anyone, just what does the Dept. of Education really do. Last time I checked my child's school bus schedule, Washington DC wasn't on it. More to follow//JW sends.
