Bonds Didn't Think Topicals Contained Steroids
Yea, right.Barry Bonds says he didn't know. As if Barry was still a rookie stumbling into some mad doctor. No matter if he did or didn't, his records will be forever tainted in the eyes of the public...and baseball historians. //JW sends.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports Bonds told a federal grand jury that he didn't know he was using substances that were found to contain steroids. According to transcripts from the testimony, the seven-time M-V-P told the grand jury last December that he used clear and cream substances that he received from his personal strength trainer during the 2003 season.
Bonds said he was told they were flaxseed oil and a rubbing balm for arthritis.
The substances were supplied by BALCO, which is the lab at the center of the steroid scandal involving several athletes.
