Military members prefer Bush, new survey shows

Service members and their families are far more supportive of President Bush and his policies than the nation as a whole, according to a new national survey released today.
The National Annenberg Election Survey of 655 active-duty, National Guard and Reserve members and their relatives found a military community that strongly approved of Bush’s performance and his decision to go to war in Iraq. Military members viewed Bush more favorably than the general population, and viewed his presidential campaign opponent, Democratic Sen. John Kerry, much more negatively than did the nation as a whole in a parallel survey of civilians.
