Stupid People Wear Pajamas

//JW's Desknote: Pulled this from The Command Post. MSM dismisses the bloggers because...why?...they sit around in their pajamas and post to their blogs? The WSJ hits it on the head noting that us PJ wearing bloggers don business suits, military uniforms, and medical scrubs during the day. Myself am a former active duty military, present naval reservist and member of the intelligence community by day who blogs at night. Let's compare qualifications between my experiences, and a journalist who graduates from Northwestern or any journalism school, reports to the NY Times and works up the ladder from fashion editor to political columnist. One must ask now just who is more qualified to assess our national government...a NY Times journalist or someone who actually works inside. I will leave you with this...I get a better understanding about Health Care from my Doctor (and my wife who is a nurse) than from the pages of the Baltimore Sun, NY Times, or John Kerry, for that matter...More to follow// JW sends.

John Fund Would Rather Be Blogging

The blogger element of Memogate gains additional attention, this time from John Fund of the Wall Street Journal. From today’s OpinionJournal:

A watershed media moment occurred Friday on Fox News Channel, when Jonathan Klein, a former executive vice president of CBS News who oversaw “60 Minutes,” debated Stephen Hayes, a writer for The Weekly Standard, on the documents CBS used to raise questions about George W. Bush’s Vietnam-era National Guard service.
Mr. Klein dismissed the bloggers who are raising questions about the authenticity of the memos: “You couldn’t have a starker contrast between the multiple layers of check and balances [at ‘60 Minutes’] and a guy sitting in his living room in his pajamas writing.”

He will regret that snide disparagement of the bloggers, many of whom are skilled lawyers or have backgrounds in military intelligence or typeface design. A growing number of design and document experts say they are certain or almost certain the memos on which CBS relied are forgeries.
